Volunteering with The Arrow Fund

download.png

At the end of the day, if you’re going to be a volunteer, you do it because you want to give back and make a difference! During these volunteer shifts you get to see the good in people, meet kids and families, and help us build a sense of community. You learn things and hear stories, build bridges to other businesses and organizations in the community, and leave with a sense of accomplishment. Look below to learn about the events and opportunities we have coming up. If you don't see something interesting today, but are still interested, click "sign up" just below to be added to our mailing list. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Farmer's Market Volunteer

Farmer's Market volunteers set up, run, and break down The Arrow Fund display tables at community events such as Farmers Markets and Adoption/Pet Fairs. These tables help us increase awareness about our work, directly educate the community about ways to decrease animal cruelty and neglect and let people know about all the different opportunities to help The Arrow Fund. This work is fun, relaxed, and can be a great opportunity to have in-depth, meaningful conversations about your passion while learning from others. Volunteers distribute brochures and other materials, answer basic questions, receive and account for donations, and report opportunities for events and assistance to the Volunteer Coordinator.

Outreach Volunteers must:

  • Have a strong understanding of--and commitment to--The Arrow Fund's mission and work;
  • Be an outgoing, dependable people person'
  • Enjoy talking about your passion for our work and learning from others;
  • Be willing to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
